First Sunday Workshops “Climate Roundtable” with Wes Ernsberger in the Chapel (rescheduled from last month). Let’s compare notes about climate change. How has it affected you and your family so far? What emotions arise? What can we do to help minimize future damage and repair the damage that has already taken place? Are there opportunities for us to help create a future where more people can thrive? “Burn the Mortgage!” with the Burn the Mortgage Team in the Sanctuary and on Zoom. Learn about how burning the mortgage this year will ease the financial challenges that UUCB faces and allow us to focus on our mission. The committee will share creative ideas for donating in 2024 and 2025. “Holiday Cards and Gifts for our Home-bound Members” with Karen Manzer in the Social Hall: All ages are invited to join in making simple ornaments and festive cards and gift bags for this year’s holiday cookie deliveries. “Faith in Action: Bean Soup Prep” with Julie Boyd in the Social Hall. Join us in preparing our traditional wine bottle soup kits, to again be sold as a fund-raiser for the Sponsor-A-Family holiday program. The soup kits will be available for purchase at the Art and Gift sale on December 7-8. All ages are welcome. |
