UU Forum on Racism and White Privilege: How to be an Antiracist
How to be an Antiracist by Ibram X. Kendi. Called by The New York Times “The most courageous book to date on the problem of race in the Western mind,” Kendi makes the case that color-blindness and not racist differ from being anti-racist and how the latter concept requires continual self-examination and action. The book concludes with a fascinating discussion of racism as metastasized cancer and how this realization offers hope for the future. Please read the book beforehand, especially the last 2 chapters (pp. 217-238) although all are welcome. Discussion led by Lois Einhorn.
