Sacred Sites 2022 Tours and UUCB Open House
We will once again be participating in the Preservation of the Southern Tier’s “Sacred Sites” event. In addition to providing tours focused on the architecture of our building, this year we will be hosting an open house for the community at the same time. If you would like to bake cookies or provide snacks for this event, or be present for folks who may ask questions about UUCB, please let Karen in the office know as soon as possible.
We are fortunate to have Mere Bocek playing harp throughout the event.
Meredith Kohn Bocek: Playing the harp has been a lifelong endeavor for Meredith. She currently performs as a harpist for many special occasions. The rich, soft sound of the harp adds a serene feeling to your event without competing with your conversations. Meredith enjoys introducing the harp to audiences and often speaks about the history of the harp and the pieces played. Her repertoire includes Celtic, South American, Baroque, light classical and folk music as well as contemporary ballads. Meredith also plays therapeutic music and is the harpist for M & M Flute and Harp Duo with flutist Melanie Valencia. She lives in Apalachin with her husband Frank and their cat CutiePie.
We will also be using this opportunity for our children and youth to help host an Alex’s Lemonade stand to support childhood cancer. We need some children and youth to help with this fun effort. Let Karen know if you would like to help out, To find out more about Alex’s lemonade Stand, please visit :https://www.alexslemonade.
