Discussion of Universalists of Color:Stories of struggle, courage, love and faith, edited by YurYmamoto, Chandra Snell & tim Hanami, led by Becca Boerger.

Unitarian Universalists believe in the inherent worth and dignity of all
people. We want to be welcoming to all who share our values, to reflect the
diversity in the world around us. Yet we remain a predominantly white
organization. In Unitarian Universalists of Color: Stories of Struggle,
Courage, Love and Faith, we hear the stories of 15 individuals, all people of
color, who have been involved with Unitarian Universalism. Some of their
experiences may be hard to hear, but by listening, we can learn together
how to become more truly welcoming, to get closer to the faith we aspire to
be.
