What to wear
Whatever you are comfortable in whether that’s a suit, a dress or a hoody and jeans, it’s up to you.
Music plays a vital role in our worship experience together. Our congregation appreciates the power, beauty, and unifying quality of music. We embrace a wide variety of musical styles and enjoy singing together. We have many wonderful musicians in our congregation, who often share their musical gifts with us during services. We also offer a welcoming space for our many guest musicians.
We have a magnificent Baldwin grand piano as well as an historic Tracker organ.
Hearing assistance devices, large print hymnals, large print orders of service (with advance notice) are available.
In the sanctuary there are seating areas which accommodate wheelchairs. All of our services and programs take place on the ground floor of our building as well as the restrooms.
We have designated handicap parking close to an accessible entry way.
Viewing Services from the Fireside Room
Sometimes being in the sanctuary is not the most comfortable place to be during the service for many reasons, whether you are dealing with a fussy child or have other needs. Services can also be experienced in the Fireside Room across from the sanctuary through closed circuit television.
Each Sunday the children spend 15-20 minutes either in the sanctuary or in children’s chapel. Children need to feel a part of the worship life of the congregation, so worship experiences are an essential part of our program:
Regular Worship: Two Sundays per month, children in Grade 8 and younger begin their morning in the Worship Service in the sanctuary with their families and the larger church community to hear a story before proceeding to their class.
Children’s Chapel: Children meet for worship in the Children’s Chapel in Room 3 on a regular basis. Chapel services are intended to foster a spirit of quiet worship in a child-friendly format and environment. Chapel themes vary and may reflect the season, curriculum, or other theme.
Multi-generational Worship: About six times per year we worship together as a congregational family; the children join the adults for full multi-generational services on ingathering Sunday, Thanksgiving, Christmas and Easter services, , and our year-end children’s service.
