Welcoming Congregation

Music at UUCB

Vicky Gorgon, Music Director
My name is Vicky Gordon, and I have been the Music Director at the Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Binghamton (UUCB) for 27 years.

Music plays a vital role in our worship experience together. Our congregation appreciates the power, beauty, and unifying quality of music. We embrace a wide variety of musical styles and enjoy singing together. We have many wonderful musicians in our congregation, who often share their musical gifts with us during services. We also offer a welcoming space for our many guest musicians.

We have a magnificent Baldwin grand piano as well as an historic Tracker organ, which we feature once a month at our Sunday services.

We are in the process of forming a Children’s Choir, which presently sings at 2-3 services throughout the year. We also have a flourishing Adult Choir - a warm, enthusiastic group united in our love of expression through song. We encompass a range of musical backgrounds, and the ability to sight-read is not required. We always welcome new members. Our rehearsals are on Thursday evenings from 6:30 – 8 pm. If you are interested in joining, please contact the church office (729-1641) or e-mail me at .
