The Director of Family Ministry (DFM) Search Committee and UUCB’s Board of Trustees are pleased to announce the hiring of Pratik Mamtora as our new DFM. Pratik was born in India, raised in the Hindu tradition, and educated in India (BA) and the United States (Masters degree). He has been an active congregant and volunteer in UU congregations in New Jersey and Illinois, and has traveled extensively. Pratik is a well-loved member of the Countryside UU congregation in Palatine, Illinois, recently serving as Interim RE Assistant, where he came to the understanding that he is called to the work of this faith. As a member of the Worship Committee at Countryside Church, Pratik was very involved in their transition to Family Ministry, and he is committed to that model. We feel that Pratik’s warm, vibrant, outgoing personality and his passion for supporting people of all ages in their spiritual journey are bound to draw new people to our congregation, and bring our vision of Family Ministry to fruition. Watch for more information, as well as opportunities to meet and welcome Pratik when he arrives in Binghamton later this summer. We feel sure that you will be as excited as we are about the newest addition to our staff team!
