It’s time to think about what you could do with a grant from the UUCB Endowment Committee.
Every year a portion of the earnings from our Endowment Fund is made available for special projects. Your grant request could be for a couple hundred dollars or for a couple thousand, but it must further the needs/vision of our congregation and it must fit in one of the following categories:
- Community outreach
- The wider mission of Unitarian Universalism
- Other charitable purpose.
Last year 9 projects were funded.
The Committee particularly encourages projects that take our mission beyond our church walls, extending our reach into the broader community.
Any member of the congregation may complete an application for a grant and, if the project is approved, that person will be the liaison to the project.
Application forms can be found at firstname.lastname@example.org and in the church office.
The submission deadline is February 15, 2018 for projects to run during the period from March 15, 2018 to December 31, 2018.
For further information, feel free to see one of the following Endowment Committee members: Romney White, Darlyne Mitchell, Suzanne Sullivan, Blake Schmutz, Tim Wolcott, Ed Ware or Jean Rose-Klein.
So, get creative and start writing!
